Design of a Desktop-Based Virtual Companion Application to Encourage Healthy Desk Habits Among Young Adult PC Users Aged 18-28 Years
Many young adults now spend long hours in front of their computers and often forget healthy desk habits such as taking breaks and staying hydrated. Over time, this can lead to physical discomfort and mental fatigue. This thesis addresses that issue by designing "Remi", a desktop-based virtual companion reminder application that encourages healthier desk habits through friendly reminders and companion-style engagement. The goal is to encourage healthier computer use in a way that feels supportive and enjoyable for young adults.
